William Peterson is the Technical Director and Stage Manager for Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, having joined the company in January 2018. Additionally, he is a freelance production manager and lighting designer of live events, and runs VAMP Productions LLC with his beautiful wife. With Ririe-Woodbury, he has designed lighting for new works by Daniel Charon, Keerati Jinakunwiphat, Charles Anderson, Yin Yue, and Stephen Koester. He has been the Lighting Designer and TD for BRINE Dance since 2017, and has designed dance lighting for UVU's Synergy, CDE, RBE, WSU’s Orchesis, and other dance and theater communities in the greater SLC area. Recent theatre design credits in the area include DEATH OF A DRIVER, THE WOLVES, SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY, and STAG’S LEAP (SLAC). In 2016, he received the National Barbizon Award for Excellence in Lighting Design from the Kennedy Center. He has assisted lighting designers in NYC at 59E59 Theatres and the New Ohio Theatre working with companies like The Adjusted Realists, Flux Theatre Ensemble, and New Opera NYC.  He holds a BA in Theatre Arts – Design/Tech from Weber State University and is the Production Stage Manager for CSU Summer Arts. (www.william-peterson.com)He will be entering his third season this summer as the Production Stage Manager for California State University Summer Arts working with companies such as Urban Bush Women, Trisha Brown Dance Company, Contra-Tiempo, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, as well as numerous national leaders in the visual and performing arts. Locally, he works as the Master Electrician for Salt Lake Acting Company, resident lighting designer for Good Company Theatre, and in various technical capacities at venues across Northern Utah such as Lagoon, Pioneer Theatre Company, Kingsbury Hall, and more.
