The winter season of RE-MIX features three thought-provoking dances. Returning to the Salt Lake City stage is Raja Feather Kelly’s Scenes for an Ending, a poetic love letter to the past and future with an original score by Emily Wells. The Company will premiere Kellie St. Pierre’s The Rate We Change, a piece for six dancers with a human-powered spinning platform, exploring adaptation in a changing world with music by Daniel Clifton. Rounding out the program is jo Blake’s coincidences, when we meet up, a reflective trio on radical self-love and personal connection, accompanied by Trevor Price’s original score.

Our Meet the Choreographer Series is a unique opportunity to engage in conversation about the dance making process. Go behind the scenes with the internationally-renowned commissioned artists that are brought here to Salt Lake City to create brand new work for the company. This is a special chance to converse with these artists and the Ririe-Woodbury Company Dancers on their process and experiences. These open rehearsals, showings and moderated discussions endeavor to empower and educate by shedding light on what goes on in an artist’s mind during a creative period.
